We had impeccable weather and light winds all weekend. In attendance were 33 registered pilots as well as family members and spectators from Louisiana, Texas and Arkansas. During our events, our goal is to send all the pilots home with a smile on their face, a full belly and to make a little money for the club, and we succeeded on all three. Our success can be directly attributed to our sponsors generosity, and for that we are very grateful.
The combat planes were a big hit, the pilots really love this event. Where else can you fly somebody else’s plane in a no holds barred combat? Here is a video that has it all, midair collisions, ribbon cuts, some almost crashes, an unplanned water crash in the lake and some other buffoonery during the landings.
